understands the power of public record information and the potential
for abuse. Our privacy policy reflects our commitment to maintaining
the integrity of our services.
Access
InsightAmerica
gathers information that helps government agencies and private
companies protect themselves and American consumers with industry-leading
risk management products. InsightAmerica
provides information only to those who can demonstrate a legitimate
need for the information and who agree to abide by all local
and federal laws and regulations regarding the use of the information.
These laws include, but are not limited to, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley
Act (Public Law 106-102, 15 U.S.C. § 6801, et seq.),
the Drivers Privacy Protection Act (18 USC §2721 et seq.)
and the Fair
Credit Reporting Act.
Information Availability
The
information InsightAmerica makes available to its
customers is:
- Public record information obtained directly
from government entities or from reputable third parties who
have compiled public record information from government agencies
- Publicly available information obtained from
sources such as published telephone directories
Reputable Sources
InsightAmerica distributes
public-record information obtained directly from government entities
or from reputable third parties who have compiled such information
from government entities. InsightAmerica acquires individually
identifiable information only from sources known as reputable in
the government and private sectors. InsightAmerica employs
reasonable measures to understand an information source's data
collection practices and policies before accepting information
from that source. InsightAmerica uses industry best practices
to keep collected information as accurate and up to date as possible.
Accuracy
Because our information comes from third
party public record information systems, and because of our commitment
to furnish users with an accurate reproduction of such information,
we will not alter the substantive content of such information.
Security
InsightAmerica uses industry
best practices and technology to protect information maintained
from unauthorized access or alteration as follows:
- We retain a third party to monitor our networks and certify
them as secure each year
- We use secure web servers, which force web browsers to interact
with our web servers via an encrypted session
- We employ Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypted connections
between your computer and our web servers. The 128 bit encrypted
connection scrambles ordinary text or data into cyphertext to
safeguard sensitive and private information during its journey
across the Internet. The information is decrypted, or put back
into a readable format, only when it reaches your computer
Site Information Collection
InsightAmerica
gathers aggregate information on site activity, e.g. how many viewers,
the pages they visit, etc., to improve site content. We use cookies
exclusively to provide security. Information about searches conducted
on our sites are retained. However, we only release information
about individual searches or other user information to comply with
local, state and federal laws, in response to a law enforcement
action or judicial process, or in accordance with the audit and
other provisions of our contracts with our data providers.
Integrity
InsightAmerica operates its
businesses in compliance with the spirit and letter of all applicable
laws, regulations and industry codes.

updates its privacy policies as new products and services are offered
or existing products and services are modified.
