Communication Methods
Web. Through
a cutting edge, 128 bit SSL encrypted website, applicant information
is entered and transmitted directly to Acxiom. A confidential code
and password avails results at customers’ convenience, according
to client imposed access rights.
XML. Acxiom
offers an XML interface following the HR-XML consortium standard,
the details of which can be found at www.hr-xml.org. For submitting
XML background requests, we offer a SOAP-based web service over
HTTPS. XML results may be pushed to customers via a simple HTTPS
POST or by calling the customer’s SOAP-based web service.
Universal File Format
(Electronic Batch). Acxiom's UFF is simply a fixed length
ASCII text file format typically transferred via FTP. All request
and result files are encrypted using PGP or PGP compatible software.
Software Interface
/ Custom Link. Acxiom's background check process is designed
to be easily integrated with virtually any recruiting or payroll
system that supports the export of that data. Acxiom has various
standard options available from flat ASCII text to XML.
Email. As
simple as composing an e-mail, applicant information can be sent
to Acxiom for processing. Emailed results will contain, as attachments,
completed reports in an unalterable form of Adobe Acrobat.
Fax. Customers
can merely provide applicant information via a hardcopy request
form and fax it to Acxiom's toll-free number for handling. Moments
following completion, results are automatically transferred to a
secure, predetermined fax destination.
